Bike tour

Overview

Have you ever thought that cycling is one of the most enjoyable ways to truly get to know Tallinn? It offers the perfect pace—fast enough to see a lot, yet slow enough to notice the tiny details that would otherwise pass you by. That is exactly what makes a bike tour so special.

On our bike tours, there is absolutely no rush. This is not a race; it’s a moment for yourself. It’s a chance to slow down and simply enjoy good company, fresh air, and beautiful Tallinn. Even if Tallinn is your hometown, when was the last time you allowed yourself to feel like a tourist? This is your opportunity to forget about rushing from point A to point B for a moment and just chill on a bike.

We offer various routes for our bike tours to choose from:

You will start your ride along Reidi Road, where the sound of the sea and the expansive views of Tallinn Bay instantly set the right mood. It is the perfect spot to let the wind play in your hair and simply enjoy the city’s new, fresh rhythm. Next, we head to Kadriorg Park—a place where time seems to stand still. This is the true green heart of the city, where we can:

  • admire Kadriorg Palace and its flower garden, which glows with colors like a work of art;
  • pause for a moment in front of the Office of the President and take a curious glance—is the head of state home today or not?
  • seek out the small, modest cottage where Peter the Great actually lived while Kadriorg Palace was still being built;
  • take a calming stroll through the Japanese Garden and enjoy a moment of reflection.

If there are no events taking place at the Song Festival Grounds, we will pop in there as well. If the timing is right, we will head over to Maarjamäe to look at the Lenin and Stalin statues in the monument park, and from there, our path leads us to the memorial where every family has a story to tell.

Beyond that, Pirita awaits us. We will ride across the bridge and admire the Olympic Yachting Centre, recalling the moments when Tallinn was at the center of the world’s sporting map back in 1980. After that, we will turn our bikes back toward the city.

Option Two:

We begin our journey where history and the sea meet—at the Linnahall (City Hall). This is a place where everyone has their own unique memories. From there, accompanied by the crisp sea air, we head along the Culture Kilometer toward Patarei. If luck is on our side, we will pop into the courtyard of the old prison building—a place where many a person’s nightmare began. We will enjoy the sheer scale of the Seaplane Harbour (Lennusadam) and the stylish new life of the Noblessner Quarter.

Next, our path leads through the tranquility of Kopli Cemetery Park toward the Arsenal Centre, and then onward to the legendary Kopli Lines. This is a place where you can still see a 20th-century workers’ district standing alongside blooming new real estate developments. We will discover the dignified Professors’ Village (Professorite küla) and reach the final stop of our loop at the Põhjala Factory, where an old rubber factory has been transformed into a vibrant creative hub. Then, it’s time to ride back to where we started.

Of course, there is also an option to head out on bikes to discover Paldiski as well!
